SORTING

I never used
The sorting-by-colors system
Lights in one load, darks in another
Never like to sort things by color, anyway
I always sorted laundry by urgency
What i really need to wear tomorrow
And tomorrow night and the next day
Goes in the first load
What i need to wear soon, later this week
Goes in the next load
And what i won't need to wear anytime anticipated
Goes last, or maybe in the bottom of the closet
But since the retreat, i've been sorting
According to love
Putting the clothes i really really love
In the first load
The ones i want next to my body
The ones i reach for
Moving from acting out of need
To acting on love
I think it's a good shift
